Il Palazzone, a boutique winery minutes from the town of Montalcino, produces Brunello di Montalcino in a traditional style. Growing grapes in three separate areas allows for the fullest and most balanced expression of Montalcino’s diverse terroir and microclimates. In addition, the vineyard adjacent to the cantina is a very special, high altitude parcel, a portion of which has been bottled as the cru Le Due Porte since 2015. The estate also produces Rosso del Palazzone, a versatile 100% Sangiovese non-vintage wine.

After some aeration more subtle notes of cherry, violets, and a hint of button mushrooms present themselves. The structure is firm with pleasantly grained tannins.
