Van Zellers & Co. was officially established as a Port Wine company in 1780. Our family tree shows many ways in which we can track our roots and relations back to the Douro and to Port Wine. All the way back to 1620.
Cristiano van Zeller, 14th generation in the wine trade, dedicated his life to the Douro and its wines, first on his family property Quinta do Noval, then in the development of different projects in the region, namely Quinta Vale D. Maria until 2020. With Over 400 years in the wine trade industry, Van Zellers & Co. wines focus on quality: our wines are produced with the best grapes from vineyards that differ in location, altitude, age, and grape varieties.
Van Zellers & Co’s annual Port bottling is pre-defined and limited in quantity to maintain the high quality and aging of each style. The bottling of Douro DOC wines is limited by nature by the quantity that each vineyard produces.
